One to One

Collaborative performance with Sandra Sykorova.

These performances were an exploration of institutional constructs and the individual relationships within these,. he \u2018One-to-One\u2019 performance was originally conceived for no.w.here\u2019s<\/em> Recessional Aesthetics<\/em> event at James Taylor Gallery<\/em> on 17th October 2010.\u00a0 One to One with Infinity<\/em> was later devised as a response to the idea of infinity and took place during\u00a0 my exhibition,\u00a0 The Infinity Box<\/em> at the Belfry space, st John Bethnal Green.\u00a0 These performances were participatory with participants having, at some time, one-to-one encounter with either Sparkes or Sykorova.\u00a0 The performances referenced bureaucratic processes encountered at institutions,\u00a0 but equally subverting these to rather create a very personal experience more akin to counseling one to one appraisals.<\/p>\n

Participants were issued with a number and came to a siting when their number was called.
