Planet Potato Disease

Adrian Galpin

Adrian Galpin's "Planet Potato Disease" presents it's viewer with a visual conundrum, an image which vacillates uneasily between opposing dualities. At once both micro and macro, landscape and still life, astronomical and mundane, a new world and a New World root vegetable. The image never quite reveals to us it's true nature or status, it refuses to (or fails to), resolve it's essential ambiguities, it exists in it's own uncanny hinterland.
