In this series of paintings I am trying to express a sense of awe and wonder at the process of creation - the amazingly complex and delicate material that goes to make up living beings.

Images of embryonic humans really touch me with their organic almost otherworldly forms, their vulnerability and purity - they seem pre-haunted by the lives they will live.
