These are some sample of the many oil drawings I made between 1995 – 1997. When these works were made I was studying for a diploma in field archaeology and the prehistory of southern England.  I found the process of trying to make a complete picture, of a time and place beyond experience, from a few fragments of bone, soil, stone or clay to be akin to process of creating a new territory with a few marks on a blank page. Nearly all these drawings were stolen from my studio in 2000.
