The Way Home

‘The Way Home’ is a series of gouache paintings drawn from memories of roads/ paths through the woods in Berkshire and Oxfordshire. These places are haunted with the folk narratives of my maternal ancestors.
The paintings are dreamlike, referencing archetypes of romantic landscape painting and evoking both fairy tale and horror film imagery.
